Pietro Guindani

Bio

Pietro Guindani is Chairman of Vodafone Italia since July 2008. Graduated at Bocconi University in Milan, he joins Vodafone in 1995, covering roles as General Director of Administration, Finance and Control and SEMEA Chief Financial Officer. He previously worked in Olivetti Group, ENI, Montedison and Citibank. He is board member of Pirelli SpA and Salini-Impregilo SpA.  He also sits in the Directive Committee of Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Assonime and he is President of Bocconi University’s Associazione Alumni. He is vice president of Assolombarda, member of the Giunta di Confindustria. President of Asstel – Assotelecomunicazioni from 2004 to 2009, he is currently vicepresident of the organization.

Salvio Vicari

Bio

Salvio Vicari is full professor in Economics and Corporate Management and Director of the Management Department at Bocconi University, where he was also Dean pro-tempore. He authored many books and articles in Italy and abroad. After graduating in Economics at Bocconi University, he obtained his I.T.P. (International Teaching Programme) at London Business School and was Visiting Scholar at the Wharton School of Business in Pennsylvania. In the last twenty years he brought on an intense professional activity, siding manifold corporate in different sectors ad a national and international level. He also developed a deep experience in several Boards of listed and non-listed companies. Founder and partner of VVA, he has always continued an advisory activity parallel to his academic life, focusing in particular on innovation, strategic marketing, and assessment of intangible assets.

Mario Morino

Bio

Mario Morino is co-founder and chairman of Venture Philanthropy Partners and chairman of the Morino Institute. His career spans more than 40 years as entrepreneur, technologist, and civic and business leader. He also has a long history of civic engagement and philanthropy in the National Capital Region and more recently in Northeast Ohio. In the early 1970s, Mario co-founded and helped build the Legent Corporation, a software and services firm that became a market leader and one of the industry’s 10 largest firms by the early 1990s. He retired from the private sector in 1992.  Since then his focus has been almost exclusively in the nonprofit sector. Mario founded the Morino Institute in 1994 to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship and advance a more effective philanthropy. In 2000, Mario co-founded Venture Philanthropy Partners as a philanthropic investment organization that concentrates investments of money, expertise, and contacts to improve the lives and boost the opportunities of children of low-income families in the National Capital Region.

Vittorio Terzi

Bio

Born in 1954,  Vittorio E. Terzi graduates in Mechanic Engineering and obtains a master in Business Administration at SDA Bocconi. In 1980 he enters Citibank, working for leading construction and engineering firms. He joins McKinsey & Company in 1985, becomes partner in 1990 and Director in 1996. In 1988 he leads the creation of the new office in Rome and in 2004 he becomes Managing Partner of the Mediterranean Complex. In McKinsey  Terzi contributed to the rebirth of leading Italian and European banks and companies, focusing on projects concerning strategy, growth, performance advancement, organization and corporate finance. Terzi is President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy. He authored several articles on Banking, Strategy, Economic Growth, Performance Management.

Bio

Maurizia Iachino Leto di Priolo has worked in Executive Search for 20 years and since 2001 follows the development of corporate governance in Italy. From 1994 to 2001 she has been Partner & Senior Director of Spencer Stuart Italia. In 2001 she participates to the start up of GOVERNANCE Consulting, where she has been partner and in charge of Board Practice, on projects concerning Board Advisory, CEO research and Board Performance Review. In 2004 she created and co-founded Nedcommunity, the first Italian Associations of Independent Councillors. She is board member of Natuzzi Spa and of Fondazione del Teatro Parenti. Since 2012 she is president of OXFAM Italia. From 2001 to 2007 she was President of Save The Children Italia.

Mario Molteni

Bio

Mario Molteni is full professor in Economics at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, teaching also Corporate strategy and “Corporate Social Responsibility”. He founded and leads ALTIS. From 1993 to 2008 he has been Scientific Director of ISVI (Istituto per i Valori d’Impresa), think tank promoted by universities, banks, corporates and associations. In 2006 he created CSR Manager Network Italia, collecting professionals of corporate social responsibilities and advisors. On these themes he lectures in manifold academies (Università Cattolica, SDA Bocconi, Eni Corporate University, Publitalia). He is a member of EABIS (European Academy of Business in Society) steering committee. He authored many publications on corporate strategy, CSR and entrepreneurship.

Nadya K. Shmavonian

Bio

Ms. Shmavonian has extensive foundation management experience, having served as vice president for strategy at the Rockefeller Foundation, and executive vice president at The Pew Charitable Trusts. In 2015, she was selected as the Director of the Nonprofit Repositioning Fund in Philadelphia, a newly created pooled fund to encourage and support mergers and other types of formal, long-term collaborations between nonprofit organizations. Ms. Shmavonian serves on the Boards of the Center for Effective Philanthropy, the Lenfest Foundation, & the Youth Basketball Network. She helped found and served on the board of The Alliance for A Green Revolution in Africa (a joint partnership of the Rockefeller and Bill and Melinda Gates foundations), and the Partners for Seed in Africa Fund, an initiative in South Sudan supported by Howard Buffet.  Ms. Shmavonian holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago, and an M.B.A. in healthcare management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Graduated Summa cum Laude in Philosophy at Pontificia Università Urbaniana di Roma, he obtained in 2003 his certificate in History, Constitutions and Spirituality at PIME in Rome.

Paola Cutaia founded in 2011 np3, an advisory firm on third sector themes. After graduating in Economics at LUISS University in Rome, she partners with corporate advisory firms and with non profit organizations. She developed a comprehensive knowledge of strategic and operational planning and non profit management through her leading roles in national and international organizations in the social sector. Among the main roles, she has been National Director of Amnesty International, Director of AGESCI, Programs Director in Intercultura.

Alfio Morone is President of Adler S.p.A., leader in the production of motocycles components, and performs manifold positions in the industrial sector. Born in 1950, he graduates in Mechanic Engineering in 1974 at Polictenico in Milan. Alfio Morone has been President for about 20 years of “Ancma Servizi & Sviluppo” and is President of  “Consorzio Italspares”. Since 2015 he is President of Fondazione Italiana per le Due Ruote, corporate foundations of Confindustria Ancma and Eicma.

Founder and President of AMI Trustee, Tiziano Tazzi has worked for thirty years as a manager in the financial and banking sector. He graduates in 1977 at Bocconi University and subsequently achieves an MBA at SDA bocconi. In 1982 he joind Citibank, then enters Eptaconsors as M&A Director in 1985.  In 1987 he joins the BNL Group as Director of the Participatory Service. From 1995 to 1999 he is Director of Planning and Organizational Development in BNL Investments SIM, leaving it to found Natam SpA, an Internet start-up specialized in systems of data analysis and comparison. In 2010 he creates AMI Trustee, specialized in the management of internal trusts, and becomes trustee of the Lang Trust (internal non profit trust) that in 2011 gave birth to Fondazione Lang Italia.

Bio

Secretary General of Fondazione Lang Italia since 2013, she manages the strategy and development of philanthropy advisory activities for grant-makers and philanthropists and the annual Lang Philanthropy Day. She began her career as and advisor on corporate social responsibility in 1997 at Gruppo Vita. She contributed to the creation of the first donor advised fund in Italy. For twenty years she has been a lecturer on corporate philanthropy and giving strategies for the community. She is member of the Advisory Board of Ashoka Italy and national councillor of Assifero. Graduated at Bocconi University, she was born in Milan in 1971.

Bio

Graduated in International Relationships at Università Cattolica in Milan, Chiara Maria Lévêque is Philanthropy Advisor of Fondazione Lang Italia, focusing on giving strategies for Foundations and Philanthropists, Theory of Change and social impact assessment. She lectures for universities and corporates and is specialized in partnership with Italian and international foundations, thanks to her experience on back office research and to dozens of missions abroad. For 10 years she has been a volunteer for the Italian Red Cross with management roles at regional level, and she is cofounder and councillor for a charity working on international cooperation.

Graduated at Bocconi University in Milan, Simone Castello is Head of the Lang Centre on Strategic Philanthropy. He oversees the executive education and the publications of Fondazione Lang Italia. His areas of expertise include: advisory to businesses and corporate foundations to set up giving strategies and employee engagement initiatives; advisory to foundations and charities for the definition of theory of change.  Among his latest publications:  Manuale operativo per la Theory of Change. In Fondazione Lang Italia since its establishment, he oversees programs, events, administration and management control. Assistant of the president, he collaborates to the management of the Lang Trust that gave birth to Fondazione Lang Italia.
